Designed by Industrial Facility
Designers Sam Hecht and Kim Colin of London-based Industrial Facility set out to provide "discovered pleasure in flexibility" when they created the Enchord desk and mobile cabinet, or as Hecht explained, "you become more aware of what it can do as you use it."

A member of Herman Miller's award-winning Lifework™ Portfolio, the Enchord Desk embraces a minimal aesthetic while boasting a useful design. It is characterized by its dual-surface construction, giving the user a second level for storage or instant added work space.

The Design

• Continuing their legacy of collaborating with outstanding problem solvers to help people work more efficiently and effectively, Herman Miller partnered with Industrial Facility for the Lifework Portfolio, their innovative collection for the modern home office.



• The ability to accommodate a wide range of user needs was a key element of the design, as designer Kim Colin explained, "We were inspired to design a table that was functional and flexible to match people's lives, yet be simple, understated, and elegant - not overengineered or too dramatic - so it fits in multiple environments.""



• The distinctive dual-level table design allows different zones to be designated for different materials, such as a computer for the upper surface and a printer for the lower. Between the levels is space for storage and wire management, making total organization totally easy.
